This historical utility light from the manufacturer Spezialleuchtenbau Finow is almost indestructible. Its massive construction makes it suitable for many purposes. Therefore, in the middle of the 20th century, it was almost omnipresent in various versions in East Germany. Suitable for mounting on walls and ceilings, both indoors and out, it has survived for decades without much damage. After careful cleaning and refurbishing with original parts, it has aged with dignity over this long period of time and, because it has fallen out of sync with the times, it is all the more attractive. The resistance of the materials is astonishing. The housing is made of die-cast aluminum, the shade is made of strong pressed glass with a striking hammered profile. The glass is secured against impact by a steel wire cage. The ceramic socket is suitable for normal light bulbs up to 60 Watts, as well as for energy-saving and LED lamps. Authentic Bakelite cable glands are screwed into the two cable entries. The lamp is ready for installation.
